Nature parks at the Alpinhotel: All good things come in threes!

A glance at the map confirms it: the Alpinhotel Keil is strategically located between three nature parks. All offer very panoramic and well-marked paths for a varied hiking holiday in the Dolomites.

  • Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park

Impressive peaks and rugged rock walls, extensive Alpine pastures and plateaus, the heart of which are the Prato Piazza/Plätzwiese and the Fanes and Sennes Alpine pastures. The Lake Braies/Pragser Wildsee and the Lake Tobaccio/Toblach, not far from the Alpinhotel Keil, are particularly worth seeing.

  • Puez-Geisler Nature Park

A little further away from our hotel in Valdaora/Olang than the other two nature parks, but still easily accessible, lies this nature park with majestic Dolomite peaks and lovely Alpine meadows.

  • Ries-Aurina/Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park

Roaring waterfalls like the famous Cascate di Riva/Reinbachfälle, peaceful lakes like Lake Anterselva/Antholz, and large glaciers characterise the mountain landscape of this park north of the Alpinhotel Keil.

Alpinhotel: your gateway to a hiking holiday in the Dolomites

The most beautiful mountains in the world – for us at the Alpinhotel Keil, these are undoubtedly the legendary Dolomites with their captivating light grey peaks. The “Pale Mountains” have been honoured with the title “UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites” since 2009. In addition to wonderful hikes to the Lake Braies/Pragser Wildsee and the Three Peaks, the Alpinhotel also offers bike adventures, skiing fun, and sights in Val Pusteria/Pustertal. Another reason for an active holiday in the Dolomites!
